

Anaheim is centrally located in Southern California, and has become a regional hub for economic activity in Orange County, Calif. Anaheim is California’s 10th largest city, with a population of nearly 350,000 as of 2009. The city attracts more than 18-million visitors each year, and is well known for being the home of Disneyland, the Major League Baseball team the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the National Hockey League team the Anaheim Ducks.
Anaheim is located in Orange County, which borders Los Angeles County. Because of the location of the city, the residents of Anaheim receive broadcasts from mostly Los Angeles television and radio affiliates. Los Angeles has the second largest number of television households in the United States, with 5,659,170 “TV Homes” according to the Nielson Media Local Market Estimates of 2010.
Anaheim receives broadcasts from the following television affiliates from Los Angeles: KNBC-TV NBC, KTLA-TV the CW, KABC-TV ABC, KCAL-TV CBS, KTTV-TV FOX, KCOP-TV FOX, and KMEX Univision. The city also receives broadcasts from the CBS affiliate KCBS-TV in San Francisco, the PBS affiliate KOCE-TV in Orange County, and the Ellis Communications owned KDOC-TV of Orange County.
Anaheim receives broadcasting signals from numerous radio stations from regional cities such as Los Angeles, Arcadia, Inglewood, Newport Beach, Pasadena, and Santa Ana, but only KFSH 95.9 FM “The Fish” — a Christian Contemporary station — broadcasts from within the Anaheim city limits.
